I have found a VW T5 in the UK that has been converted by a reputable company. It is currently registered there as a van and they intend to convert to a campervan on purchase. It has an elevating roof.
Do I need to make sure it is registered in the UK as a campervan (M1) before importing? Or can that be down to the NCTS when they look at it???
Is there particular paperwork from the UK that I need pre-entry to Ireland? |

It does not need to be registered as a campervan in the UK but at time of registration it will need to be deemed a campervan by the NCTS inspector.
