What is an EORI Number?
What is an EORI number? In brief, it is a common reference identifier for economic operators in the European Union. The acronym stands for Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification.
Specifically, it is an identification number consisting of two parts, a country code followed by a unique code/number, required during customs procedures that enables businesses and individuals to trade goods within the European Union (EU). If you operate a business or trade as an individual across EU member states (including if you are established outside of a member state) you require an EORI number.
