Pre-registration Valuation of Extras
In order to expedite the pre-registration process for authorised traders (TAN holders), an application may be made (by an authorised trader only) to have vehicle extras valued by the Revenue Commissioners in advance of booking an appointment with the NCTS. This facility will ensure that the valuation of extras in respect of a vehicle is available at the time of registration and the registration can be completed in one visit to an NCTS centre.
It should be noted that-
- The application form (PDF, 133KB) with the vehicle details correctly entered, should be posted to the Central Vehicle Office well in advance of date of registration to ensure that the completed form is available at the time of registration.
- The application form must always be accompanied with a copy of the registration certificate (or equivalent) and a copy of the purchase invoice. Where multiple vehicles are listed on one purchase invoice - a copy of the invoice should accompany each form. Forms completed incorrectly (e.g. invalid VIN) and forms received without the supporting documentation will be returned unprocessed.
- When the valuation of the extras has been completed (normally within three working days of receipt of the application form) a stamped completed form will be posted back to the applicant.
- The original stamped form must be presented with the vehicle at registration.
